Historic Milestone for Nkwen Fondom: Provisional Acceptance of the North Western Mutan Market

On 31st of July 2026 was a very a very historic day in the NKWEN Fondom of Bamenda 3 council. This day was marked by the provisional acceptance of the NORTH WESTERN MUTAN MARKET. This market situated at the MAGZI industrial zone at mile 6 NKWEN. The ceremony presided over by the President of the NW Regional Assembly saw the participation of very important dignitaries amongst which were The Fons of NKWEN and BABUNGO, members of the executive council of the Regional Assembly, the Mayor of Bamenda 3 council and representatives of the regional delegations of MINTP, MINMAP and MINDDEVEL. Speaking at the occasion the Fon of NKWEN thanked the president of the Regional assembly and Prolog for realizing the magnificent edifice in his fondom which will go a long way in creating job opportunities for the youths of the village. He equally thanked the contractor Dreamland Connect for doing a great job. The Fon promised that the people of NKWEN will guard the project jealously for generations to benefit from the edifice. The president of the NW regional assembly encouraged the people of NKWEN to be the first beneficiaries of the Project and promised that with the advent of the market other infrastructure will be brought in the locality in the nearest future. The ceremony which saw the decoration of the president of the regional assembly and the contractor with titles by the NKWEN village Ngumba was graced with traditional dances and a lot of feasting.
